I made it a little late to my one on one session today as my trainer Priscilla Rojas and I jumped right into the warm up for today’s workout. We did a full body warm up and got right into it. The workout was going to be for time, AMRAP. When I see that acronym I get anxious, haha. I understand that As Many Rounds as Possible is to help push you but damn me if I didn’t say I try and make it get through so many rounds and I never know if I got thru enough.
We got thru the workout and at the end I had fun. We had a little more fun when we started our photoshoot for Priscilla. I can tell you she is hilarious, and so much fun. You meet some people and you’re just excited to see them. You get that when you train with Priscilla. Be sure to check out her instagram for those photos.
Priscilla Rojas, NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) since 2013, has been crossfitting and lifting heavy since 2014. Her passion to work in the fitness industry began in 2012 when she landed her first corporate job out of college at the home office for Zumba Fitness in Hallandale Beach, FL. At the Zumba Fitness home office, she worked as an Operations Coordinator managing a roster of over 150 Zumba instructors and was later promoted to Training Program Specialist where she project managed the launch of multiple new training programs.
This was when she realized that she wanted to be on the other side of the business, sweating in a gym, moving weights and changing lives. After obtaining her CPT she continued her health and fitness education by obtaining her Performance Enhancement Certification (PES) in 2015. She is now lifting heavy weekly to prepare for local Crossfit competitions. Like the one coming up in January in Miami. Training at Live Free CrossFit, Priscilla will be part of team of trainers opening a new studio in the Miami downtown area in December 2015. Her vision is to open a sports-specific training facility for competitors alongside her boyfriend, who is also a trainer, outside of the Miami area within the next 5 years.
